Question: do you have to be really careful with the nanotechnology?

Yes! Part of it is that if you are doing an experiment, you want to make sure that you know exactly what you are changing, so that if you observe a difference you know where it came from. But also, there are some health hazards with nanoscience (as with any science) so you have to be careful for that reason as well. Like, in my research, I have to be careful not to shine lasers in my eye, not to touch something with electricity across it, and not to get nanomaterials made of hazardous materials on my skin. But we have gloves and goggles and lab coats and safety procedures for everything that could be dangerous in the lab!
