Question: whats your favourite thing about your lasers?

Hey Laoise,

I love working with lasers, I’ve always thought they were cool, and since I became a physicist I’ve learned all about how they changed the world, making electronics smaller and helping in medicine, like laser eye surgery.

But honestly, my favourite thing about my laser is the colour. My laser is called a Helium-Cadmium laser. The colour that comes out is almost Ultraviolet, so almost past the blue part of the rainbow. So it’s this really nice deep blue/purple colour that I really like!
