      Hey Saorise,

I’ve always loved talking about science, so I always try to keep an eye out for competitions like this!

I knew about the UK version, and leaped at the chance when Eleanor pointed out they were doing an Irish version. I wrote a little piece saying what I do all day, and they accepted me!

Now I’m part of this and having the best time!

I got an email from the communications officer in my college and thought the competition sounded really cool. I’ve done some things a bit like this before, explaining science, but in person.

Then I talked to Adam about it (because we are friends in real life) and when he said he was going to do it I knew I had to do it too! We have a long-standing rivalry him and I 😉

      Hi Saoirse,
They were some flyers up around college about the competition. I really enjoy getting involved in science communications things and this seems like a a lot of fun so I entered and thankfully I was picked to be one of the scientists.
I also love explaining what I do in a way that everybody can understand and not just scientists.

      🙂
