      Hey Erica,

There are two kinds of things I’d really like to see,

The first is in computers. At the moment we use transisitors, which are nanoscale switches made of silicon in our microchips. The more switches, the faster the computer runs. I’d like to see us get better and better at making smaller and smaller things. The other idea that might come from nanotechnology is things like flexible screens, which would be so cool.

The other one is my field. I think there’s huge potential in medicine. Either like my work, which hopes to detect cancer and other disease better. Or with things like nanoparticles, which can be filled with drugs and used to treat cancer easier!

These are the two big fields I’d like to see improvements in, but I’m sure there are other we haven’t seen yet! Thank you for your question

Well my hopes would be a perfect utopia where everyone is excellent to each other and there is no poverty, disease or famine.

But, more realistically, I would like to see faster, cleaner, better technologies that everyone can take advantage of in a global community. Renewable energy, cheaply available to all. And plenty of jobs for science graduates!
