Lots of questions in one, that’s cheating! 🙂

I just play soccer every once in a while with my research group for leisure. Once a year there is a tournament where all research groups in the department enter a team and it gets really competitive. We only play 5 a side so there are no real positions. My main sport is water polo, which I play competitively with the college team.

I believe in aliens, but not like they are always portrayed in movies. Considering the amount of planets we have discovered out there (apparently most stars have a few planets around them) I am convinced that there must be life out there somewhere else. But what form it takes, whether it is based on carbon like us, I cannot say.

I think I like science because it provides me with answers. I have a very high level of natural curiosity and if I can’t figure out how something works I spend a considerable amount of time trying to solve it. Research just takes that another step further because sometimes nobody in the world knows the answer and it’s a really cool feeling if you’ve just discovered something nobody else in the world knows.
